Because Pants are Still Optional?

With so many of us working from home, I thought it was time to sew up some lounge shorts that are versatile enough to go from your cozy bed, to your desk, to the coffee shop!

I knew these loungers needed to be roomy enough to be comfortable, but structured enough to look like you are ACTUALLY wearing shorts. So, I chose a pattern from Peach Patterns, this awesome designer I found from Australia who is all about small business sewists, like me, making her pattern for the world. The cut is PERFECT.

Now, we all know that the most important part of great PJs or loungewear is the FABRIC. Each of the prints in the shop was selected for quality and softness. These aren't cheap-o cottons! High thread count wovens from Cotton + Steel, and Free Spirit tick all of the boxes for feel and durability. You should be able to purchase these and wear them for many years before they need retirement. With each wash, the fabric will soften further.

I also use non-roll elastic for the waists, so there's no bunching or untwisting to do when they come out of the dryer.

The shorts come in a range of women's sizes.

Small - US 2-4

Medium - US 6-8

Large - US 10-12

XLarge - US 14-16

See a fabric you love, but the shop is out of your size? Just order a pair by dropping me an email! lindsay@brandywinebergamot.com.

Because it's me, you know the garment care is going to be easy. Just toss them in the cold, gentle cycle, and then tumble dry on LOW or hang dry. Even though I do my best to pre-shrink fabric for you, dryers aren't all created equal! It's always better to be happy than to have too-tiny shorts that dried fast.

OH! there's a BONUS for the month of September! I'll include a matching sleep eye-mask with your order for free!

I hope you all have a relaxing weekend, and sleep-in if you are able!
